BIS

Bank for International Settlements

The central banks' bank in Basel, which publishes credit-to-GDP gaps and debt service ratios for every large economy.

The Bank for International Settlements is owned by 63 central banks and hosts the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Its statistics department compiles long-run series on credit, debt service, property prices and banking exposures on a comparable basis across countries.

Every region on worldstat.us takes its Structural layer from the BIS: the credit-to-GDP gap and the private-sector debt service ratio, both quarterly with a lag of about two quarters.
